Matthew Gorman – Artistic Director
Originally from Nova Scotia, Matthew now lives and works in Toronto. For Cart/Horse; Vincent River, Rum and Vodka, Winners. Selected other theatre; The River Lady, director, Knives In Hens (Lonesome Crowded West) Fall in Paris (Eastern Front Theatre), The Making Of (Modern Underground), Mending Fences, Having Hope At Home (Port Stanley Festival Theatre), Hana’s Suitcase (The Grand Theatre), The Drawer Boy (Theatre Athena), Red Noses, St. Nicholas Hotel, Good Woman of Setzuan (Ryerson Theatre). Matthew’s voice can be heard on several animated series.
Megan Gariepy – Producer
Adores being Cart/Horse Theatre’s producer and admits that her experience and skills lie off stage – these include networking like a fiend (resulting in constant surprise meet ups, much to the annoyance of her loved ones) and begging her talented friends for their services. She has taught for Humber College’s Arts Administration and Cultural Management program, spends her days working at ACTRA and helps run two of the city’s longest-running stand-up comedy rooms (aka herding cats). Megan’s past production credits include works with Alchemy Theatre, also Vincent River and Rum and Vodka (Cart/Horse Theatre).
Gillian Lewis – Production Manager
A freelance Production Manager and Stage Manager for various theatrical and dance companies in Toronto. Production Management credits include: Fallen Rock’s The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Bathurst Street Theatre, May 2010); Gailey Road’s Harriet’s House (Hart House Theatre, June 2010); and Eldritch Theatre’s Madhouse Variations (Theatre Centre, October 2010). Stage Management credits include: National Ballet of Canada’s YOU Dance performances (April – May, 2010); Public Recording’s 300 TAPES (Theatre Centre, December 2010); and, Small Wooden Shoe’s Dedicated to the Revolutions in Toronto, Kitchener-Waterloo, Edmonton and Calgary. Gillian has been working with Cart/Horse Theatre since its first production in 2007.
